Love & friendship

The postcard with no news.

Dear you,

My friend sends a postcard from every place she visits. She rarely writes about the place. The last one showed a mountain. On the back she had written that she had eaten an excellent sandwich and hoped my knee was improving.

I keep them in a shoe box. There are grand cities on the fronts and very ordinary days on the backs.

I sent her one from the town where I live last week. It showed the old bridge. I wrote that the knee was better, the cat was asleep, and I had thought of her while buying bread.

Warmly,BenBritish Columbia, Canada
